Seek out, assess and convert new business opportunities in conjunction with Underwriting appetites, authorities and philosophiesExplain insurance products, coverage, premiums, and policy conditions in clear termsWork in a cohesive manner within a small team of underwriters and administrative staffOngoing day to day management of business including referrals, quotes, policy documentation, endorsements, broker enquiries etc. while at all times adhering to the Service Standard guidelinesCalculate premiums and establish methods of payment in line with underwriting guidelinesReview client circumstances and policy renewals to ensure cover remains appropriateRecord and maintain accurate information about clients, policies, and renewalsSettle and monitor claims in coordination with insurers, ensuring satisfactory outcomesIdentify potential new clients and business opportunities, follow up leads, and prepare quotationsAttend marketing functions and broker presentations as necessary and/or requested by the Underwriting Manager. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse $400k - $500k income portfolio of clients across industries, while being supported by a dynamic and collaborative team.Key Duties<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Take ownership of a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering high-level service and advice across all general insurance requirements.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, proactively identifying and managing insurance needs in order to prepare professional, detailed reports for new and existing clients.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Use this understanding to arrange specialised insurance cover across levels of complexity to deliver a tailored insurance options and recommendations on the amount and type of cover required.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Engage meaningfully with clients to effectively and comprehensively explain the insurance policy conditions, risks covered, premium rates and benefits of the cover being provided.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Manage and maintain strong relationships with the insurers, and underwriters to ensure that a premium level of service is provided to clients.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Proactively conduct annual pre-renewal meetings and internal strategy sessions where required to identify any change in the risk profile or insurance requirements.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Provide clients with written confirmation of cover prior to expiry and detailed insurance manuals post-renewal.</li></ul>Key Qualifications:<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Diploma of Insurance Broking is essential</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Require full time Sydney office based</li></ul>Key Skills:<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Strong account management experience with confidence in handling complex corporate portfolios.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Proficiency in understanding compliance frameworks and adhering to regulatory standards.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Tech-savvy with experience using systems such as Microsoft Office, BMS – Insight, Sunrise Exchange &amp; SCTP, Lucinda and Cova2.0 or similar.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Passionate about customer service, business growth, and building long-term client relationships.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team environment.</li></ul>&nbsp;
